About KVS PRT Exam Details, Insights and Pattern

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Primary teacher test (KVS PRT) is the Examination conducted by KVS for the post of Primary Teachers all across the world. KVS is running 850 schools in India, which are affiliated to CBSE. Every year around 7000 posts ( approx) are filled through the Examination. The aspirants who look for their career in the teaching field shall enroll for the Examination. The Examination is likely to be held in 34 Cities. The written examination is conducted by the Organization for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Total marks are 120. After clearing the Examination the candidates go through the Certificates verification & Interview Process. More than 20 lakh candidates appeared for the KVS- PRT 2018.

Exam Pattern of KVS PRT Exam:

Type: Written examination.
Duration: The duration of the paper KVS PRT exam will be of 120 minutes.
No. of Questions: 120 Objective type questions.
Syllabus Covered: English, Hindi, Reasoning ability, Current affairs, Teaching Methodology.
Marking Scheme: 1 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and negative marking will be as per norms.

Understanding the competition in KVS PRT:

The KVS PRT Exam is divided into two parts:

PART-A consist of English and Hindi carrying 15 questions each of 1 mark.
PART-B consist of 120 Multiple Questions carrying 1 mark from Current affairs(40), Reasoning(40), Teaching methodology(40).
The total duration of the exam will be two and a half hour.
PART-B will only be evaluated if the candidate qualify first exam securing 4marks each in English and Hindi and 10 marks in aggregate.

Cut-Off of KVS PRT Exam:
The selection of the candidates depends upon the Cut off declared by the Sangathan. Generally, the cut off depends upon the Name of the post, Level of the Examination and number of candidates. The graph explains about the 2018 cut-off for various categories for KVS PRT and KVS PRT-music.
